Cornelius King
Staff Accountant
Cornelius King is the Staff Accountant for Forge Capital Partners. His responsibilities include preparing and entering monthly journal entries, with appropriate descriptions and maintain supporting documentation, recording all monthly and year-end accrual entries, and analyzing all balance sheet accounts and prepare detailed supporting schedules. Mr. King is also responsible for reconciling bank statements to the general ledger each month as well as assisting CFO in preparing schedules needed for year-end financial audit.
Prior to employment with Forge Capital Partners, Mr. King worked for family-owned Casper’s Company as a Staff Accountant for 60 McDonalds Franchise. In this role Cornelius was responsible for balancing variances for all 60 McDonalds stores including reconstruction of the daily sales for each store as well as manually inputting the data and verifying for accuracy. He reconciled credit card fees to ensure accountability for each store and generated weekly, monthly, and yearly sales packets to provide net sales reports.
Mr. King earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from DeVry University and Masters in Accounting and Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management.
